LCEC Grant Helps Boost Burrowing Owl Education in Cape Coral

Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife is proud to announce the receipt of a generous $2,795 grant from LCEC. This funding will go directly toward the production of updated burrowing owl educational brochures and informative signage across the city.

These materials will help answer frequently asked questions about Cape Coral’s iconic burrowing owls, while raising awareness about how to respectfully coexist with them. The grant significantly helps offset outreach and education costs, allowing us to allocate more resources toward our ongoing mission—acquiring and protecting vital habitat for local wildlife.
