Join the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife and Cape Coral Parks & Recreation to celebrate Cape Coral’s official city bird, and find how much “winter weather” is left this year!
Find out if Athene the burrowing owl will see its shadow or not. If so, we are in store for six more weeks of winter!
Athene will let Mayor Gunter know, and the Mayor will then declare Athene’s findings to the people.
We will have special t-shirts available at this event, as well as the press and hopefully additional City council members present. The event is also being advertised through our partnership with the Lee County Tourism Bureau.
