Have fun, learn about butterflies at Rotary Park

If you go to Rotary Park on a Monday, Friday or Saturday morning, you’re in for an educational treat that will also fill your senses with quiet beauty.

The Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife offer free guided tours of the Tom Allen Memorial Butterfly House on those mornings.

Although visitors may peer through the screens any time the park is open, only when the butterfly house is staffed is the door unlocked to admit the public.

The volunteer guides provide an overview about butterflies, including information about life cycle and identification as well as current threats to butterflies. They also answer specific questions that visitors have about the beautiful flying insects, to include how to attract them to your yard.
