Volunteer of the Month – October 2025

It is our pleasure to introduce our volunteer for the month of October, Joanne Gruber. Joanne has been a member of the Friends of Wildlife for over 12 years, filling in at numerous spots such as membership, merchandise and worked at dozens of community events over the past years.
Joanne has met with individual council members and has spoken at council meetings on various environmental issues over the years including being on a city financial board.
She is also a founding member of Cape Coral Wildlife Trust, our partner organization, assisting as treasurer to purchase 87 lots in Cape Coral so far to protect the habitat of burrowing owls and gopher tortoises.
