2024 Ground Owl Day
On February 2nd each year we celebrate our own unique take on Groundhog Day, gathering to find out if the burrowing owl will see its shadow and predict the end of winter.
This year’s event was held at the Pelican Baseball Complex and was the most highly attended Ground Owl Day yet! Dignitaries included Cape Coral Mayor John Gunter, Council members Richard Carr and Tom Hayden, and the festivities were emceed by NBC-2 Meteorologist Rob Duns.
