Join Us For a Guided Nature Walk at CREW Marsh Trails
Friday, November 14, 2025
8:00am – 11:00am
Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife (CCFW) invites the public to participate in a guided nature walk at the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed (CREW Marsh) Trails on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Led by Piper Jones, CREW Education Coordinator, the walk will offer participants an opportunity to explore one of Southwest Florida’s most diverse natural areas and learn about local wildlife and conservation efforts.
The CREW Marsh Trails, part of the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail, provide habitat for a wide variety of species, including woodpeckers, flycatchers, warblers, hawks, owls, and the distinctive swallow-tailed kite. The trails feature pine flatwoods, oak hammocks, pop ash sloughs (pronounced sloo), and expansive views of a 5,000-acre sawgrass marsh. An observation deck and tower offer panoramic vistas of the Corkscrew Marsh.
Most trails are wide and flat, with benches along the way, making this event accessible to participants of varying fitness levels. The walk is free and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to bring water, comfortable clothing, and sturdy walking shoes.
