Please join Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife (CCFW) at their next general meeting where Brittnay Laster, MSc; Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) will discuss sea turtles!

Sea turtles are one of the most charismatic marine animals on the planet. If you ever have the pleasure of seeing one in the wild, it is a breathtaking moment and can be awe inspiring. This program aims to provide information on all seven species of sea turtles, their conservation status, which are most common in SW Florida, threats turtles currently face, and CROW’s role in getting them back into the wild. CROW is currently unable to treat sea turtles due to the loss of the sea turtle facility from Hurricane Ian. CROW typically treats turtles from Sarasota down to the Keys; however, these patients currently must travel further to receive care.

The CCFW general meeting will be held at Rotary Park, 5505 Rose Garden Road, Cape Coral on Tuesday November 12, 2024. The doors open at 6:30 for sign-in and networking. Brittnay’s presentation will begin at 7 PM followed by the CCFW business meeting. All are welcome.
